RAVINIA FESTIVAL IN HIGHLAND PARK
FRIDAY, JULY 24, 2026
8:00 PM concert, 5:00 PM gates open
CHICAGO SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
We have had enjoyable nights at Ravinia the past several years, let's keep them coming!
This year we will go to Highland Park to take in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra performing
On the Movies, music’s descriptive magic, written by women and about women.
Marin Alsop & Laura Karpman, co-curators.
We will once again find a comfortable spot on the grass, near the Pavillion. Exact site will be communicated by Jim Hynan the week of the event.
General Admission Lawn tickets are $17 for adults and $14 for seniors. Check cost for veterans, perhaps a mere $5. Purchase your own tickets through their website (green button for "Lawn-General Admission,” this may involve a service charge) or buy at the Box Office upon your arrival. The lawn is highly unlikely to sell out.
Parking is available for a fee in the west lot, or take the commuter train to its Ravinia stop.
Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and your own food and drink, perhaps a dish to chair.
Be sure to include a jacket as it gets cold in Ravinia Park at night.
Inform Jim Hynan if you are coming, at jhynan74@gmail.com.
