Club 50 Dupage River Kayak Trip
From Knoch Knolls Park to Riverview Farmstead Preserve
August 24, 2024 10 AM to 2:30 PM
The trip begins on the west branch of the DuPage River near where it joins up with the east branch. This course is about 4 ½ miles long and takes from 1 ½ to 2 ½ hours, depending on river conditions.
Led by Naperville Kayaking (www.napervillekayak.com). They need a final head count 2 days prior to the date scheduled to guarantee a watercraft. After then, it’s whatever is available.
Parking will be at Zion Lutheran Church,11007 Book Road in Naperville. This is near the take-out spot, Riverview Farmstead Preserve, located at the corner of Book Road and Hassert Boulevard in Naperville. Upon registration and safety instructions, a private Tuk-Tuk will transport us from the church to Knoch Knolls Park. The Tuk-Tuk will also transport us from the take-out spot to our vehicles.
Costs include watercraft, paddle, personal flotation device, water resistant bags, and transportation to the put-in spot. If you are not renting, we can carpool back to the put-in spot. (320 Knoch Knolls Road, Naperville)
