The Ride
We will ride in beautiful Busse Woods, located in Elk Grove, IL, near the junction of Higgins Road and Arlington Heights Road. It is an easy eight-mile paved ride through woods, near streams, meadows and lakes.
It is a relatively flat ride with only two overpasses that would count as hills. There is also a small dam and as the name of the town implies, a herd of elk! We'll take a stop and look for them on the ride.
Meeting Place
Entrance to the parking lot is on Higgins Road. It is the first entrance east of Route 53, on the south side of the road. Once in the park, take the first left and go to the end of the road. There are restrooms near the parking lot.
Lunch
Moretti's Restaurant and Pizzeria located at 1893 Walden Office Square, Schaumburg, which is very close to I-90 and Route 53, just a few minutes from Busse Woods.
